halloween 2022

okay, yes, this is too early for a bona-fide halloween trevor brown cosplay - but in the relative scarcity of other trecos contenders in recent years (um, hello kuua-chan) the unstoppable sklphith has kinda stepped in to fill the gap and reign supreme - every day is halloween

actually i do know akaneko has been working on a series of ten rubber themed cosplay images - which look very good judging by the sneaky previews she’s shown me - but progress has been super slow

anyway, thank you sklphith, and i hope maybe some updates to this post next month…?

is this cool? - machine gun kelly sported a trevor brown t-shirt (described in the press as a “kiddy acid wash gray graphic t-shirt”) for the unveiling event of avril lavigne’s hollywood walk of fame star - despite apparently being mega famous, i have no idea who he is (nor any of the other gathered celebs) - but i guess of course he probably has no idea who i am either - and it’s kinda funny that the shirt is way oversize for japanese but fits him well

my plan

the new trevor brown book, “pastel poison”, has been endlessly subject to delays and indecision - the art is actually finished now and it's ready to go to the printers - the design is similar to “la nursery noire” - very much a sister volume in fact - A4, 500 copies, self-published - 100 pages including 43 paintings and a 22 page rough drawings section

as covid is slowly becoming less of a threat, my plan now is to finally put the book out in december - to coincide with a group exhibition at span art gallery in which i'll have 2 or 3 works - and then do a solo exhibition (at le deco in shibuya again) in january - all going well
